The South Park influence in this movie is obvious for fans of the cartoon: like the student in a suit with a hood who reminds Kenneth McKormick aka Kenny.

That's because Scriptwriter Pam Brady once worked on the cartoon.

One high school drama teacher is about to make a huge number 2.
Have you seen the poster inside the poster? It's titled "Rock me sexy Jesus". And I quite agree that Jesus was handsome if what we see in churches is really representing the Messiah.

Definitely an irreverent movie! Love it!

Hamlet 2 Official Trailer

Hamlet 2 is an upcoming irreverent comedy that should be released in the second half of August 2008. The movie is directed by Andy Fleming and is starring Steve Coogan, Catherine Keener, Amy Poehler and David Arquette.

The Plot:
"A failed actor-turned-worse-high-school-drama teacher (Steve Coogan) rallies his Tucson, AZ students as he conceives and stages a politically incorrect musical sequel to Shakespeare's Hamlet." (Source: IMDb)
The critics have been kind of harsh against this movie which was premiered at the end of the last Sundance festival. But this trailer of Hamlet 2 looks quite good so far. I particularly appreciate the scene with the two Latinos:

"We're going to Hell for doing this play..."

It makes me laugh out loud. I think that's gonna be a really entertaining comedy.
